An Invitation to Join a Community of Practice & Build a Movement

The call to Becoming Beloved Community is about building a movement.
We are called to follow Jesus in racial reconciliation, healing, and justice. It is our responsibility as disciplines and followers of Christ. And we need each other.
Last year, twenty-seven people from across our diocese said YES to this call. They joined a learning journey and committed to a community of practice. In this first phase of the learning journey, there was a focus on Truth-Telling; together, we explored the history of race and racism in our Church and in our worlds, locating our personal stories within those structures.
Listen to members of the community of practice share their stories of the journey below:
You are invited to join in building this movement!
Phase Two of this journey begins in October, with a focus on Repairing the Breach. Dates for this next phase include: October 18-19; December 14; and February 8.  This current cohort extends an open invitation to others who are interested in joining for this phase of learning. For more information and to apply, click here.
In addition, another Phase 1 Learning Journey focused on Truth Telling will begin in early 2020. Dates for this new cohort’s learning journey include: January 17-18; March 7; and May 16. For more information, contact ahowton@diosohio.org.
