The Becoming Beloved Community StorySharing Design Team invites you to join a Pentecost Campfire Story Circle on Pentecost, May 23, 4:30-6 pm via Zoom.

Your leadership and ministry at this time are so appreciated.

As we journey through the wilderness together, we grow weary. There is uncertainty about whether we will reach the promised land. There is fear, despair, grief, rage. And when we gather and turn to one another and God, we find light. We find joy. We find hope. We remember, and we find our faith.

As disciples of Jesus, we invite you to join together with other bodies of our diocese to do just this–connect, remember, and on this day of Pentecost, witness the Holy Spirit among us.

For this Campfire Story Circle, we call together members of our diocesan bodies:

  • Diocesan Council
  • Commission on Ministry
  • Finance Committee
  • Reparations Task Force
  • Bishop Herbert Thompson Chapter of the Union of Black Episcopalians
  • Trustees of the DSO
  • Budget Committee
  • DSO staff
  • Standing Committee
  • Becoming Beloved Community leadership team
  • As we remember we are one body, all are welcome to join our circle

This time will be holy. We will be standing on holy ground, common ground.

As we have been hosting StorySharing offerings, we have learned the sacredness of what it means to practice the ancient art of being in Circle. In this particular moment in our corporate life, this art is vital to our health, our growth.

Please join us. Your presence is needed. Please RSVP here by May 21.

In solidarity and with faith,
